Gardening has many benefits...
For many of us gardening is - plain and simple - a way of life, or perhaps better stated, a way of living...
We’ve learned over many years that the benefits of the total gardening experience far outweigh any attendant aches and pains! As I write this, it’s late February in the Southern Ozarks, and already the golden crocuses and bright yellow jonquils (daffodils) are spreading colorful spring messages around the gardens in our neighborhood. The trees will not be very far behind...
We know that our fall plantings will perk up the winter’s flagging spirits by mid February, and propel us on to the next autumn while offering wondrous sights throughout the coming spring and summer.
The gardening experience renews not only the drab winter landscape but the human spirit as well. It also provides us with a wonderful hobby, a certain amount of healthful exercise, and a fresh mental outlook.
Soon the gray skies of winter will be history once again giving way to the fanciful blue of spring and summer! Yes, the gardening experience puts us in step with Mother Nature yet again.
If you’re already a gardener, you know all of this. If you’re a neophyte, perhaps you’ll find some help and encouragement by browsing around this site. Either way, we hope to offer you some new, beneficial gardening nuggets to enhance your own gardening experience!
Life is good in the garden! The soul thrives there...
